Penny's love for all things beautiful extends far beyond the salon walls. Through training and experience I have developed a style that is effortless yet sophisticated. I enjoy precision in my work, because I find the better I perform in the Salon, the better you can style your hair at home. I strive to interpret rather than copy today’s trends, and to translate them into your everyday lives.

I am inspired by Modern Art, Architecture and design (mostly Mid Century Modern), and I am amazed by the beauty in nature and all people. In my spare time I enjoy relaxing with family and friends, and playing in the pool or hiking and biking the trails. I also love to travel, and consistently love to immerse myself in different cultures and places near or far.

As a guest in my chair, I hope to develop a relationship based on care and trust in the fact that my ultimate goal will be to make you feel beautiful, confident, healthy and ready to take on the world.

Hello, I’m Jane, Barber Stylist at Blondie’s. I’ve had a lifelong passion for fashion and precision hair cutting. You and I will talk and pull up photos to zero in on details to apply for the best balance and grooming of your personalized hairstyle.

High, medium, or low fades, under cuts, undercut designs, I can make any one for you. Would you enjoy a flat top? Complete head shave? I love the opportunity to do them all, from classic to latest trends. Additionally, eyebrow, neck and beard line-up, and beard shaping with line-up shave are all available. Have a relaxing shampoo, then head to the gym, back to the office, or home for the evening, feeling great.

Clients have said they view me as an Artist, that I get into “the Zone”… my response is, “Your haircut IS my sculpture project”. As a matter of fact, I do have an Art Degree and a Classical Music Degree, with a love of the Arts.

I’ve lived and worked in the hair trade starting in Indianapolis, followed by nine years in Greenwich Village, NYC, and then 28 years in Chicago.

Approximately six years ago, I came to Columbus to be close to my growing family here, and made it my home. Columbus has an awesome “People Trail” around and through the town that runners, like myself, have utilized on a daily basis. This has culminated in the Mill Race Half Marathon every fall season.

As life morphs, I’ve moved to Bloomington this past year! I’m so enjoying the beautiful rolling hills and woods of Southern Indiana in my downtime from work.

Meet Madeline, known for creating magic with vivid hair coloring for Blondie's Salon guests. She is a Level 4 Stylist and a licensed cosmetologist since 2017 but her obsession with beauty started much earlier than that. Madeline was the little girl sneaking into her mom’s makeup and grabbing the kitchen scissors to give her Barbies makeovers. She started her journey at Blondie’s February 2020 and finds joy in taking care of her community. It gives her great pleasure when she can help others shine a little brighter.

Growing up, she channeled her talents, creativity, and eye for detail into art classes and found a new love in drawing and painting. This in-depth knowledge of color theory and composition gives her a special edge as a colorist, believing there's very little difference between her work on canvas versus a client.

Madeline contains a fierce passion for vivid coloring that can pair with bold color-blocking placements or low-maintenance dimensional looks. She's determined to make fun, vibrant color more accessible and easier to maintain.

When not at the salon you can catch her snuggled up on the couch with her dog, Seamus, watching Harry Potter or devouring her latest read with a cup of tea. She also enjoys traveling to both new and familiar places and has at least one trip planned at any given time. Alicia is a licensed hair stylist for over four years. Her journey started at the Aveda institute in Clearwater, Flo., and has expanded through continued education, online classes, and hands on experience. She prides herself on providing the best scalp facials, curly cuts, grey blending, blondings, and any type of dimensional color. She loves personalizing each color and cut, and always sends a client home afterward with a customized hair routine. Alicia also loves makeup since it’s one of the first things that brought her to the world of beauty. Keep her in mind for your next special occasion.
