Guided Meditation with Yoga Nidra

Guided Meditation with Yoga Nidra

Sometimes your body is ready to relax, but your mind hasn’t gotten the message. Guided meditation gives you focus as Shamani leads you through imagery and relaxation techniques, including Yoga Nidra, designed to quiet mental chatter and help you settle into a deeper state of rest.

No meditation experience required. Just get comfortable, listen, and follow along.

What Is Guided Meditation?

Using spoken instructions, guided imagery, breathing awareness, yoga nidra, or cues that bring your attention to different areas of the body, Shamani leads you through your personal meditation session.

Having a voice to follow gives your mind a gentle point of focus and guides you through the session.

What Is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is sometimes described as “yogic sleep,” but you aren’t actually trying to fall asleep. Instead, you’re guided into a deeply relaxed state while maintaining a gentle awareness of what you’re experiencing.

Unlike a traditional yoga class, there are no poses or physical movements to perform. You simply get comfortable while Shamani guides your attention through the body and mind. The goal is less about doing something and more about allowing yourself to become deeply still and relaxed.

What to Expect During Your Session

Your session begins by getting into a comfortable position where you can relax without needing to move or hold a pose. Shamani then guides you through the experience using her voice, helping you shift your attention away from outside distractions and toward your breath, body, imagery, or other points of focus.

What If I’m Not Good at Meditation?

If you’ve tried meditation before and thought, I can’t shut my brain off.

Meditation isn’t about preventing thoughts from entering your mind.

Instead, you practice noticing a thought without getting caught up in it, then letting it go and returning your attention to the present moment. And when the next thought comes along, you do it again.

Guided meditation can make that process easier because you have Shamani’s voice and imagery to gently bring your attention back whenever your mind wanders. Over time, you begin to experience the difference between having a thought and having to follow it.

And that’s a skill you can take with you. The same technique can be useful when your mind is racing after a stressful day, you’re trying to fall asleep, or you simply need to step away from your thoughts for a few moments and reset.

Why Try Guided Meditation?

Rather than simply giving you an hour to relax, guided meditation can introduce you to a different way of responding to mental distractions, stress, and the constant stream of thoughts competing for your attention.

Guided meditation gives you dedicated time to disconnect and turn your attention inward. For some people, that can be surprisingly difficult to do without guidance.

A session may be especially appealing if you:

  • Have trouble letting go of the day
  • Want to explore meditation but aren’t sure how to begin
  • Find solo meditation frustrating or difficult
  • Want a relaxation experience that doesn’t involve massage or physical touch
  • Would like to learn techniques you can continue using on your own

Make Space to Be Still

You spend much of your day responding to what needs your attention. Guided meditation gives you permission to turn that attention inward for a while.

Whether you’re completely new to meditation or looking for a guided experience that can help you deepen an existing practice, Shamani will meet you where you are. Come as you are, get comfortable, and discover what it feels like to give your mind somewhere quieter to go.
