How do I book an appointment? Can I schedule online?

«

Appointments can be scheduled in person, by phone, through our app, or online on our website.

By Phone: Call us at (812) 376-3066 and one of our concierges will guide you to the perfect Salon + Spa experience.

By App: Once you've downloaded our app, select the "Make an Appointment" tab on the main page. You can search for a service, select it and then choose your service provider or you can select your service provider and then choose a service they offer. You'll then be able to select a time and follow directions to complete the appointment booking.

By website: Go to "Appointments" at the top of the page. Select the option that best meets your needs and follow the directions to complete your appointment booking.

How do I choose the right services and products?

«

We offer complimentary consultations and can make recommendations to fit your wants and needs. Our Salon + Spa professionals will create a treatment plan to achieve your desired results and recommend product collection to provide solutions for your areas of concern.

How early should I arrive for my appointment?

«

We suggest that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow you time to sign in, change clothes if needed, grab a latte or beverage and relax in our quiet room or lounge prior to your service.

Where can I park?

«

We have street parking all around our location. We also have six reserved spaces just behind our building in the neighboring Sprague Building lot–they are marked with reserved signs.

Do you require deposits for appointments?

«

At this time, we do require a 50% deposit for services lasting longer than 2 hours or for services that total $200 or more.

Do you accommodate late arrivals?

«

Please call our desk at (812) 376-3066 if you are running late for your appointment. Our customer experience staff will check with your esthetician or hair stylist to ensure you will still be able to receive your desired services in full.

What is your cancellation policy?

«

We kindly ask that cancellations be made 24 hours prior to your scheduled service to avoid penalties. Any appointments made or cancelled within 24-hours of your appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Appointments entirely missed without attempts to cancel or reschedule will incur a charge of the full amount. As a part of our cancellation policy, we do ask to have a debit or credit card on file to hold your appointment.

Do you offer gift certificates?

«

Yes, we do. Gift certificates are available for purchase in person and through our app. Once you've downloaded our app, select the "Buy a Gift Card" option from the home page. Select your desired amount, enter the recipient’s information, select "checkout" and follow the directions to complete your purchase.

Do you take walk-in appointments?

«

Because our service providers tend to be booked out for 4-6 weeks, it may be hard to accommodate walk in appointment requests. We suggest calling first and perhaps you'll catch one of our occasional cancellations or openings. Make sure you follow us on social media since we often post last-moment openings.

May I bring my children to my hair appointment?

«

Only those receiving services may be present in the service areas. It's highly suggested that infants be left in the care of another responsible adult versus holding them during your service (if you have a nursing baby, we advise bringing an extra adult with you who can ensure their safety). It is the salon’s policy not only for the child’s safety, but to make sure every appointment goes in a smooth and timely manner for each client. We know it can be hard to secure childcare and thank you for helping us ensure safety as well as a peaceful environment for all Salon + Spa guests alike.

Do you have Bridal Services?

«

We currently offer hair and make-up services at our location.

Call us at (812) 376-3066 or email us at [email protected] to inquire about availability and to request a copy of our Bridal Services Packet.

Do you speak Spanish?

«

Se habla español. We have a handful of fluent staff that can facilitate a smooth experience for our Spanish-speaking clients.

What methods of payment do you accept?

«

Cash, checks (local only), Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Blondie's Gift Cards.

What is your return policy on products?

«

Boutique products that have not been opened, used or damaged may be returned for a refund or exchanged within 10 days. Products that have been opened and are in closed containers such as, pumps or aerosols, may be exchanged within 10 days. For cream-based products that are in jars or tubs, all sales are final. Refunds may only be given to the original purchaser.

What can I expect at my hair salon appointment?

«

Guests will be greeted by our concierge team who will guide you through a consultation to discuss your preferences, needs, and concerns, followed by a light neck and shoulder massage to help you relax and unwind. During your appointment, you will receive personalized product education and recommendations as well as styling lessons as time allows. Guests will also be offered complimentary refreshments at your appointment plus access to other amenities depending on your service.

Do you give refunds for your services if I'm unsatisfied with my hair color?

«

We make every attempt to ensure that you love your experience at Blondie's. In the event that you are not completely satisfied, please let us know within 48 hours. We will be happy to schedule a corrective service within two weeks of your original appointment date. Due to the nature of some services, this guarantee may vary, and in some cases, charges may apply. The guarantee does not cover a change in the original style or color. Full-service price applies if you have waited longer than 48 hours to call or if you have your hair worked on elsewhere before returning to Blondie's for the corrective service. There are no monetary refunds for any services provided.

Do I need a consultation before booking a color service?

«

If this is your first color service with Blondie's, yes. All new color clients begin with a complimentary consultation, either in person or virtually. This helps us understand your color goals, hair history, and any challenges you’ve had in the past. You’ll also complete our short New Client Color Questionnaire so we can recommend the right service and schedule enough time for your appointment. Once your consultation and form are complete, we’ll send you the booking link for your color service.

Hair Extensions

How much do hair extensions cost?

«

Extension pricing depends on the type of hair, amount needed, and length. A few extra pieces for fullness will cost much less than a full-volume transformation. Most of our clients invest between $700 and $1,500 for a complete installation of semi-permanent methods, plus maintenance every few weeks. You’ll receive an exact quote at your consultation.

Do I need a consultation before getting hair extensions?

«

Yes. All new extension clients start with a complimentary consultation. This helps us understand your goals, match your color, evaluate your hair type, and create a plan that fits your budget and maintenance preferences. You can schedule in person or complete a virtual form, and we’ll follow up with next steps.

How long do hair extensions last?

«

Most high-quality extensions last 6–12 months with proper care and professional maintenance. Using the right products and protecting your hair from heat and friction will help extend their life.

Which type of hair extensions are best for me?

«

That depends on your hair type, lifestyle, and how much maintenance you’re comfortable with. Hand-tied wefts are a favorite for full, natural-looking results. Tape-ins are great for fine hair, keratin tips work well for thicker textures, and halos are perfect for temporary wear. Your stylist will help you choose what’s best during your consultation.

What is the Luna Method?

«

The Luna Method is a hand-tied hair extension technique designed specifically for delicate hair. It's touted as the safest hair extensions method for compromised hair. Unlike traditional beaded rows that use multiple attachment points, Luna uses as few as 12 beads to support two full rows of extensions. These “kick-stand” beads evenly distribute weight, so there’s no pulling or strain on your natural hair.

This gentle method was created to protect the integrity of fine or fragile hair while giving clients the density, movement, and confidence of a full head of hair extensions. The application is about clean compression, intelligent sectioning, and long-term comfort.

How is the Luna Method different for thin or damaged hair?

«

The Luna Method was designed specifically for clients with fine, fragile, or thinning hair. Its low-tension application uses minimal beads and protects your natural hair and helps prevent breakage.

Can I still wear my hair up with the Luna Method?

«

Yes, just like with the beaded row method, you can wear your hair up. The extensions are placed close to the scalp, so they’re discreet and easy to style.

How long do extensions last with the Luna Method?

«

With proper care, Luna extensions can last up to 6–12 months. You’ll need move-up appointments every 6–8 weeks to keep them looking their best.

Spray Tanning

How do I prepare for a spray tan?

«

If you want long-lasting, even color, you have to prepare your skin before coming in and be mindful of the timing when scheduling your appointment.

  • Skin should be clean and free of any moisturizers or makeup for best results.
  • Before your spray tan appointment, exfoliate your skin to get rid of dead skin cells.
  • If you wax any area of your body, be sure to do this at least a few days prior to your spray tan.
  • If your tan is for a special event we recommend getting your tan AFTER getting your nails done.
  • Wear loose, comfortable, dark colored clothing.
  • Watch the forecast, bring a rain jacket/umbrella in case it rains.

How do I care for my new spray tan?

«

No showering, sweating, or getting wet for 8 to 16 hours depending on which tan you choose. When you do shower, some of the color will come off, but that is normal. It is important to use soap or a shower gel for your first shower; just rinsing with water will cause your skin to appear streaky and will not show the true result. If you look streaky after your first shower and are in need of a touch-up, we will assist you within the 2 days following your spray tan.

  • NO loofahs, scrubs, or exfoliants of any kind while maintaining your tan.
  • NO petroleum-based products or products containing mineral oil, as this will turn your tan orange or cause it to fade faster.
  • Use aerosol sunscreen when needed.

How long will my spray tan last?

«

Your spray tan should last about 7–10 days with proper care. Many clients get up to 14 days when they use the Norvell aftercare products we recommend. Keeping your skin moisturized and avoiding products with mineral oil or petroleum will help your color last longer.

When should I schedule my spray tan before an event?

«

For the most natural color, book your spray tan 1–2 days before your special event. This allows your color to fully develop and gives you time for one shower before the big day. If you’re getting your nails done, it’s best to do any mani/pedi first so the color on your hands and feed isn’t affected by acetone or exfoliants.

How soon can I shower after my spray tan?

«

Depending on which Norvell formula you choose, you can shower as soon as 8 hours after your spray tan. We’ll let you know your exact rinse time before you leave your appointment.

How should I prepare for my spray tan appointment?

«

Start by exfoliating your skin the day before your tan to remove any dead skin cells. Come to your appointment with clean, dry skin that’s free of lotion, makeup, deodorant, or perfume. If you wax, do so at least a few days before your appointment. And if you’re getting your nails done, it’s best to do that first so your tan isn’t affected by acetone or exfoliants.

What should I wear during and after my spray tan?

«

You can undress to your comfort level during your tan. Male clients are required to wear underwear or cover their genital area. After your session, wear loose, dark clothing to prevent any rubbing or uneven color. Keep your outfit choice and dress lines in mind if your tan is for a special occasion.

Can I work out or swim after getting a spray tan?

«

It’s best to avoid heavy sweating or swimming until your tan has fully developed, typically 8–16 hours after your appointment. Chlorine and hot tubs can shorten the life of your tan, so use a waterproof sunscreen if you’re swimming and skip the hot tub altogether.

What happens if my spray tan looks uneven?

«

If you notice an uneven area within a day or two of your appointment, just give us a call. We’re happy to offer a complimentary touch-up to even things out.

Should I get a spray tan if it's raining?

«

Rain and spray tans don’t mix. If the weather looks questionable, bring an umbrella, a jacket, and loose clothing that covers your skin. Even a few raindrops can create spots in your fresh tan.

How do I make my spray tan last longer?

«

Avoid products with mineral oil or petroleum (these can cause fading and that unwanted orange tone). Use a gentle, sulfate-free body wash and moisturize daily with a tan-safe lotion. We carry products specifically designed to extend your Norvell spray tan—ask us for recommendations during your visit.

What if I forget to exfoliate before my tan?

«

No problem! We have exfoliating and pH-balancing wipes available when you arrive. They’ll help prep your skin for even, long-lasting color.

Will extensions damage my hair?

«

When applied and maintained correctly, hair extensions will not damage your natural hair. We only recommend methods that are safe for your hair type and will guide you on at-home care, products, and brushing techniques to keep your hair healthy.

Spa + Med Spa

Can I book extra services while I am at the Spa?

«

Absolutely, please ask! We have a list of enhancements that can be added to your appointment while here. We will always try to accommodate your wishes, although to ensure the correct amount of time, we recommend that you book your treatments in advance.

How does the tipping process work?

«

We use a tipping service called Tippy at check out. You can easily select your service provider and customize your tip amount. Tippy sends an alert to your service provider letting them know about your gift.

What can I expect during my Spa visit?

«

Guests will be greeted by our concierge team who will guide you through a consultation to discuss your preferences, needs, and concerns. Guests will be offered complimentary refreshments including water, tea, lattes, beer, wine, and snacks. You’ll have access to our locker room and private shower and we’ll provide a robe and slippers. Our Spa guests enjoy a moment of relaxing in a quiet, tranquil room while we prepare your service.

What attire should I wear to the Spa?

«

For your comfort, a robe and slippers will be provided at the Blondie’s Spa. We recommend wearing comfortable and loose-fitting clothing that will allow you to relax and can easily slip on and off. If you’ve scheduled a pedicure, we recommend loose fitting pants that can be rolled up with open-toed sandals.

Can I bring my child(ren) to my spa appointment?

«

The Blondie's Spa environment is one of relaxation and tranquility. We appreciate help in ensuring a safe and calm environment by making alternate accommodations for children unless they're present for a service. We respectfully ask that you leave cellular phones silenced so that the tranquility of the spa experience may be preserved.

How do I prepare for a Brazilian bikini wax?

«

Communicate openly with your esthetician about any concerns or questions you may have before and during the appointment.

  • Please shower before your appointment. We won’t spell it out – but you catch our drift. (In a pinch, wet wipes are a lifesaver!)
  • Hair must be a quarter of an inch (about 10-14 days of growth) to adhere correctly to the wax.
  • Resist the urge to shave between sessions. Shaving chafes the skin and creates sharper, coarser hair!
  • Gently exfoliate the night before or take a warm bath to prep the skin before your wax. Having a warm bath or shower before your wax can soften your skin allowing for easier hair removal. We also recommend exfoliation the night before as this removes dead skin build up around, and in the follicle, again aiding in an easier and more thorough removal. We suggest gently dry brushing OR using a gentle acne cleanser.
  • Chill. Come to your appointment as relaxed as you can. Like a lot of things in life, the anticipation is often worse than the actual event.
  • Take a deep breath. We often ask our clients to take a couple of deep breaths and try to relax their muscles before we begin. Don’t worry – it really doesn’t hurt that bad and we want you to come back, so we won’t do anything to traumatize you!
  • Know that it gets better. We get that first timers don't know what to expect. Our advice is knowledge that the first one will be the most uncomfortable, especially if you've been shaving prior to it. However, it doesn't have to be the worst thing you've ever done. Most of the time, people leave our spa pleasantly relieved that the wax wasn't nearly as bad as expected. Every wax after the first one gets easier, especially when your hair starts growing in finer and we weaken the follicle!
  • Medicate if you must. If you're concerned about the potential for pain, take a couple of ibuprofen 20 minutes before your appointment. Some clients feel this takes the edge off.
  • Remember, it will be over before you know it. Being fuzz-free is so worth a couple of minutes of discomfort!
